Waterfall Gully - Mt Lofty -Walk K1 PDF Print E-mail

Walk One:      Commence at the Kiosk at Waterfall Gully and walk the traditional track to the top. A break at the Summit Café before the return trip is generally par for the course.

Purpose:          Enable participants to find out where they are up to. This is a good walk that takes 45 - 60 minutes on the way up and 35 - 75 minutes on the way down depending upon the route taken. You will find it a good walk for the personal programs week in and week out.

More Detailed Notes:

Walk commences at top of Waterfall Gully Road at the Kiosk. The track is pretty easy to follow. The Waterfall is evident from the Car Park, and you will follow the track to Mount Lofty.

After the half way mark, you will notice tracks to The Clelend Wildlife Park on your left. You should make sure you take the right hand track on both occasions and follow the signs to Mount Lofty.

The suggested trip down, if you have time, is to find the "Old Heysen Trail". It is not well marked, but once found it is easy to follow. Eventually you will pick up the Carro Track, and then a short time later, the Chinamans Hut Track which you will follow to the Hut Ruins and the familiar Waterfall Gully Track.
