What is the FLINDERS Dot Com Community?

We like to think that people who shop with us, or visit our site, do so because they share our vakue systems. We get a great deal of enjoyment from walking through the Adelaide Hills. The better treks of Australia, Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, The Snowy Mountains in NSW, or the Gammon Ranges in South Australia each provide their unique exhilaration.

We care about public policy. We want to see the Government made sound decisions, ensuring that our children will be able to derive the same quality of life that we did. We believe that public knowledge, and debate is the better path forward.

Our heritage is as Australasia's original manufacturer, so we have a unique perspective as to what is good and what is not so good. Ultimately we are a niche provider, so we are clear about our recommendations. It is not the label that counts, but whether it does the job to your expectations that counts.

So the FLINDERS Dot Com Community becomes a community of like minded citizens.

How do I join?

You join simply by logging on at the entry point on the right hand side of our main menu pages. We ask you for your name and your e-mail address. We have a privacy policy (set out somewhere on this site).

When you register, an email will be sent to your address. We require that you in turn click on the link provided. Like you, we want to reduce the amount of spam in the sytem, so it is a little inconvenience that we all have to manage.

Upon the successful verification of your e-mail address, we will send you a DISCOUNT VOUCHER to use in store. Because we do all the programming ourselves, we are not in a position to offer this as an on line offer.

You will be asked to define the types of newsletters that you are interested in. We generally send one out a month, but we want you to get the ones with the information or story that you want to read, so this is an important step.

Some will have already joined our previous list. Shortly we will be providing you with a separate note regarding this process, and will extend our initial offer to you as well.

What are the benefits?

Each member will get one initial voucher. We will restrict store or gear specials to those who have nominated "GEAR Newsletter", but we expect to make specail offers that reflect the content of the Newsletters. Wouldn't it be nice if we could get a travel package together or some similar benefit. We say it is the like mindedness that holds us together. It is the loyalty factor!

Can I unsubscribe?

We are required to provide everyone with an unsubscribe option. That will be contained with each newsletter, and it will be up to you to manage that issue for yourself. As a matter of policy joining discount voucher is a one time only benefit.
